About Us

What is RCA?

Redmond Code Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which was created by a group of high schoolers located in Redmond, WA who saw the need to create a community for students to learn, teach, and improve their coding skills. Through this community, we aim to guide students and help prepare them for the future.

What We Offer?

Competitions

RCA members can share personal experiences and advice on taking difficult computer competitions such as USACO. RCA will as well train members for upcoming coding competitions.

Career Development

RCA will host a multitude of talks with industry professionals and college students who specialize in the computer science field and will share their knowledge/experience about coding to younger students.

Learning

RCA volunteers will teach programming concepts that help all students for coding competitions and other coding opportunities giving them life-long skills. By teaching others, volunteers will strengthen their own coding knowledge

Resources

All of the material in RCA will be free. RCA will as well provide members with coding resources which are paid for free. This allows any student, regardless of background, to have an opportunity to learn coding.

Helping The Community

RCA will expand to helping the local community face the challenges of computer illiteracy that hinders the aspirations of many young people. RCA will help students build the skills necessary for thriving career. In addition to solving computer illiteracy, RCA drives carbon emission offset efforts through technology initiatives (e-waste recycling).

Volunteering

Experienced high schoolers who are knowledgeable about coding can volunteer at RCA to help young coders in the Redmond community. Industry Professionals can support RCA through volunteering in our Career Development programs.
